Description

The last dew drops perch anxious atop the infant apple blossom who laps up what she can before the late spring sun takes them all away.  Soon, she’ll open, and the carriages will come with all the suitors in town.  That is, the bees will wake, stir, and quickly swarm the tree, spreading the pollen as they gather that sweet, divine nectar, food of the gods.  The somnolent background colours accentuate the unperturbed baby flower, not yet ready to open its eyes and see the world.  But we can be assured by water on the crown that this baby has all the nourishment it needs, and when it’s ready, it’s going to do just fine.
