Description
This is a macro shot of the stamen of an orange Day Lily using my Sigma 70-300mm zoom lens at full zoom, my Nikon 6T close-up filter, taken at f/5.6-and-one-half and 1/30 shutter speed on Kodak Elitechrome 100 ISO slide film.
The stamen of a flower is the male reproductive organ. The stalk ends in the anther, which the swollen end of the stamen that bears the pollen. This and Day Lily V are partner shots, taken of the same thing but using different compositions.
