Description
By using the shade of a nearby tree as a backdrop and zooming in close enough to the flower by using a +2 close-up lens on my 135mm Nikon lens to allow the center-weighted light metering system of the FM2 to record only the exposure level of the flower, I could isolate the flower alone and cast it against blackness, underexposing slightly by stopping down the aperture to f/8 to saturate the slide film with colour without pushing the lens, while also sustaining enough depth of field.
